Studio A
Studio A consists of the control/main recording room and two adjacent auxiliary
recording rooms, with access to the entire rest of the house (at least 12
different natural acoustical settings to record in). The main room is 20’
by 24’ with 8’ ceilings and has insulation and carpeting that
control the sound and create a very quiet internal studio environment. The
Intel Mac computer, Pro Tools and MIDI interfaces, Digidesign C|24 control
surface, and hard drives are located in a separate closet and isobox to
isolate the fan noise.
Studios B & C (Portable Rigs)
There are two additional studio workstations (Studios B & C)…
both portable… for recording outside in the yard or on location. Both
are Pro Tools equipped Mac Powerbook laptops. For more information about
the gear in all of the studios, visit the Gear page.
Loungin’
Besides the chill and comfortable atmosphere of the studio, there are several
areas to lounge in the house – there is a living room with comfy couches
and cable TV (HBO and Showtime movie channels), a sun porch, a front porch,
the yard, several bedrooms, and a stocked kitchen.
What's Close?
Basically anything you can think of. Restaurants of all varieties (including
a 5 minute walk to IHOP, Boston’s only 24 hour/day restaurant), hotels,
convenience stores, walking/biking trails, gyms, coffee shops, bars, etc.
Parking
Parking in the driveway or on-street right outside the studio is legal,
free, and easy to get.
